Hello

I grew up in a home riddled with drugs and abuse. As a child we often bounced from city to city which hindered me from receiving a solid foundation. Although I had knowledge of God from occasionally attending Church, I didn't have a relationship with Him and no one to show me how or why to get one. Our circumstances often led to judgment making me feel unwelcome at the churches we attended.

At the age of 18, I made the decision to leave Christianity and explore other religions. Also at that age, I entered my first relationship. Like my childhood, the household was riddled with abuse and chaos. 

The further I moved from Christ, the worse life got for me. I no longer resembled my once strong, talented, beautiful self. I had lost sight of the person God intended me to become. 

After 14 long years, I made the decision to try Jesus. I sought the Lord and He answered. 

It took me 6 years to fully heal, embrace every part of me, and walk on the path that he called me to as myself, Colibri Shontaa.

 I founded Colibri Shontaa Ministries in February 2025 to share the lessons I learned from my journey and support other women on theirs. I don't want any woman to walk alone.

Our ministry offers resources, guidance, prayer, motivation, prophetic words, and accountability for those serious about their faith walk with God. It's my mission to do my part to help heal women and build strong futures. Through God, I've discipled women who've gone on to start businesses, ministries, authored books, and have thrived using God given talents they never knew they had. 

I'm grateful for every part of my journey. God used me to witness trials so that I may be an effective disciple. I pray the mistakes and testimonies of my past will inspire many others to advance in their lives. In Jesus's name, Amen.
